We’re very proud to announce that the Shropshire Housing Group has thrown its weight behind the Ludlow Cares initiative, donating a sum of £3000 to the programme and donating its Chief Executive too for good measure.

Group Chief Executive, Jake Berriman (shown right) will be sleeping-out on September 20th to support the charity drive alongside the rest of our fast-growing population of sleepers for the night.

The Group’s £3000 donation will be split equally into two parts: half will go towards additional funding for the The Ludlow Foyer (a local housing project for young people), and the remainder will go directly to the Ludlow Cares programme.

“This issue is very important to us as an organisation,” said Mr. Berriman. “We are key supporters of Ludlow Foyer, which works with young people who are starting their adult life and provides those who need it with a place to stay.

“Unfortunately, the Foyer alone cannot solve this issue and it is heartening to see the tremendous effort being made by Ludlow Rotarians to highlight the problem and raise funds to help alleviate it,” he continued. “They have our unstinting admiration and support and I will happily spend a night outside with the other fundraisers if it contributes to their work.”

All the best,
The Ludlow Cares Team
